Our East 18th Street building was built in 1935 and is located in the Ditmas Park /Flatbush area of Kings County. It is right between the Midwood and Kensington areas of Brooklyn. The elevator building has 6 stories, covers 49,176 square feet, and consists of 42 units. There is an onsite superintendent and monthly extermination maintenance provided for our tenants living in this building.
255 East 18th Street is the second youngest of our buildings, built when radio was the “big thing.” Thus you will find elements of "modernity" in this building that are not present in our older buildings. There is somewhat of a feel of Art Deco ornamentation in the look of the building, but the interior is mixed with older, somewhat 19th century decoration styles.
The entrance is beautifully decorated with cut glass windows. The lobby and hallways have terrazzo floors. The apartments have glowing hardwood floors.
